What is AVGS coaching?
With AVGS coaching, job seekers receive professional support from experienced coaches during their career reorientation and application phase. This measure is funded by the employment agency or job center via the so-called activation and placement voucher, or AVGS for short.
With this voucher, you can receive free, personalized one-on-one coaching at SEQUOYA in Berlin. We support you in getting back on your feet professionally, advise you on suitable further training for new professional skills, and work with you on your job application strategy.
The following types of coaching can be 100% funded with an AVGS voucher: job coaching and start-up coaching.
Who can apply for an AVGS?
- Job seekers, unemployed persons
- Employees who have already been laid off but are still working for the company
- Persons at risk of unemployment
- Employees in transfer companies
- University graduates
- Temporary employees whose contract has less than three months to run
- Parents at the end of parental leave

How does AVGS coaching work?
The AVGS coaching process consists of seven phases. We are happy to accompany you every step of the way—from applying for the coaching voucher to successful completion.
Personal meeting with your employment agent
Ask your contact person at the Employment Agency or Job Center about AVGS coaching. Explain how the coaching will help you integrate into working life.
Receive activation and placement voucher
Your employment agency offers to issue you with an AVGS for the coaching measure. As a customer, you usually have a free choice of provider.
Find a suitable provider for AVGS coaching
You choose a provider that offers the experience, qualifications, and formats that suit your needs and that meets the AVGS requirements. SEQUOYA is certified for this measure.
Preliminary coaching discussion
Non-binding preliminary discussion with the coach at the selected provider. If you are interested, we will prepare an offer for the Employment Agency/Job Center on your behalf as the provider.
Applying for and approval of AVGS coaching
You sign a coaching contract with us as the program provider. Final approval is granted by the Employment Agency or Job Center.
Your coaching begins
The coaching process begins with a discussion of the process itself, tailored to your specific needs. We plan the content and schedule to suit your personal situation.
Completion of coaching
You will receive your certificate of participation, and we may recommend qualification options or continuation of coaching. As the program provider, we handle the financial aspects directly with the Employment Agency or Job Center.
